The restaurant offers set meals as well as a la carte. The food was OK and the service impeccable. Not cheap but you'd expect that from a Michelin star restaurant

This was my first visit to a 2 star Michelin in Berlin restaurant and I was disappointed. After the dinner we feel not well and we throwing up ,something with the foods was not good and all the night we spend in the toilet. Food was not good- to salty - it wasn't innovative in any way. I expected a... More

When you visit a 2 Michelin star restaurant, you have to be prepared to pay for it. The very act of being awarded a star means a restaurant can push up their prices, even more so for two stars. Yes, a glass of Champagne shouldn't cost nearly 20 Euros, but that's what it costs here, and it shouldn't be a... More

Having frequented many 2 & 3 stars in various cities across Europe, I would give this one mixed reviews. Lovely location in a great part of town. Fish starter was one of the best I have ever had, the lamb mains were disappointing and lacked flavour. The pre pudding moose was amazing again but dessert was below par! Overall a... More

This was my first visit to a 2 star Michelin restaurant and I was disappointed. Food was good- everything was well prepared - but it wasn't innovative in any way. I expected a lot more. Dessert though- came in 3 separate servings- and that was amazing. It wasn't worth 338 euros (3 courses - 4 glasses of wine- two persons)

The room is grand and the welcome at the front desk was very promising but the food and service disappointed big time. The food was average but the gentleman who served us was very abrupt and halfway through the meal I was angry with his attitude. For a £500 meal I expected much better fare. The dessert was good though.... More

Had the opportunity to dine at a few other fine restaurants in Berlin. Fischers Fritz is "classic" in the sense that they know who the customer is a the service is excellent. The menu executes classic dishes very well. I loved the balance between other more modern experiences which Berlin is full of. . . F. Fritz made me feel... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
