Would recommend this place or any of its sister restaurants. Particularly il due forno. Really cramped seating arrangement but certainly is an anarchist pizza house. Don't expect it to be your regular Italian. The friendly waiters wear funky black clothes and it seems to be totally organised chaos. Our food came on time was delicious and was very very reasonably... More

Definitely one of the best pizzas I have ever tried. And beside that - I loved the atmosphere and walls overwritten with cool messages in numerous languages.

you can experience here a Berlin/Italian food. I'd say that's it not bad, but you can find, now, more better Italian food in town. workers are friendly but they seem to be in trouble somehow and I hope that's only my impression.

I visited this restaurant a few times in last 3 years. Sometimes the food is really excellent, once I really ate here the best pizza in my life. Sometimes it is just good pizza, but always very tasty, authentic, very italian, staff OK, prices OK. When it´s summer and you can sit outside and watch the people around, the atmosphere... More

Il Ritrovo seems to be in partnership with Il Casolare in Kreuzberg and Due Forni in Prenzlauerberg. Very buzzy, slightly stressed feel to the service but it all works. We went on a busy Friday night and they found us a table, there is a quick turnover, so no real need to book it would seem. Good quality pizze with... More

Nice and big restaurant where larger groups can have a nice pizza. Quite cheap as well (12 euros a pizza and 0.5l of beer)

The place is always full, the pizzas are good and big. The restaurant has a punk/left italian attitude which is attractive and honest. But there's a stressed atmosphere inside. The waiters throw the menus on your table, which are dirty and nobody seems to care. The manager is screaming to the waiters, so they are in a hurry and stressed out.... More

You'll find this Italian restaurant in Berlin's vibrant east district. We visited this place based on the reviews we had read online and although the pizzas are deliciously fresh with thin crust and tasty toppings, we were slightly taken aback by the restaurant's décor. A bit too "hipster" for our liking with tons of graffiti, political propaganda and anti-fascism messages... More

Upon recommendation we came to the restaurant only to have one of the worst dinners we had in Berlin. The place is packed: especially at rush hour, but we managed to be seated at a table. The waiters were very rude, spoke no English, and dismissive. We ordered 4 pizzas. After the 30 minute mark, we asked out waiter about... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
