Don't normally write reviews but provoked into this by the poor attitude (that's putting it mildly) of the short haired lady in the hat. We sat at the bar and had drinks , tried to make conversation and were made to feel like we shouldn't even be there. Other lady was very nice but unfortunately we would not spend any... More

I went to this bar with some friends, the place is nice but we had a bad surprise at the end of the night. We were going to pay but we noticed a mistake on the bill: the jägermeister costed 6€ but in the menù it costed 5€ (already an high price I would say) so we informed the waitress... More

But actually, it turned out to be a good little bar! Drinks were affordable and tasted good. We had a few dark & stormy's... Service was friendly. They were playing Tom Waits over the speakers - it had a nice vibe to it!

Spent New Years Eve here and the locals and the staff were very welcoming and great fun. Nice to see a less touristy side of Berlin. Would definitely recommend.

Visiting Berlin Kreuzberg area we found this little bar in the nice Oranienstrasse/street. This is a typical Kreuzberg bar with drinks. Also Tappas are offered, which we didnt take. We have been there for a small break and a beer. They sell Munich Andechs beer also and not beer from Berlin. Service is good, the walls and toilett is painted... More

Walk across the street to Heinrichplatz and take a pic of this place. People eating on wooden tables outside of a restaurant covered in lots of graffiti. It's so Berlin - and I mean that in a good way.

I want to come back here when I can - it's rare to eat such tasty breakfasts in such a lovely place. Friendly staff will help you choose something from the menu, and the breakfasts always appease mine's hunger compared to many places in the world. As extra coffee and dessert make it one of the best places in Berlin,... More

Visited this bar a few times on our trip. We sat at the bar and just had a couple of drinks. There is lots of outdoor seating but it's just as nice to sit inside and people watch through the large open windows. The staff were quick to serve drinks and chatty enough too.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
