I came here just for a large fries but had the best experience with one of their male cashiers. He was very friendly and asked how my day was and overall provided a pleasant experience. The fries were delicious as well :O)

Located on the second level of a business building, there was an escalator us, but you need to use the stairs to come back down. The restaurant was very warm and was not clean like most McDonald's are, especially in Europe. The food was fresh and hot, but service was slow.

We have been travelling around Europe for a month with a 9 and 11 year old and they do get tired of trying new food (and potentially not liking it). So as a treat we did McDonalds and they knew EXACTLY what they wanted, ordered immediately, got it fast and it tasted the EXACT same as Mc Donalds tastes anywhere... More

I came here to figure out what is the difference between a German McD's and others'. Well, I had a smoothie, and it blew me away. It was the best smoothie I had ever had from a McD's. It had actual berry bits in it. I must say that if your home town's McD's is pure crap (as mine is... More

Always good for a stop and shopping break. Every Maccas a bit different in every country but value for money, quick service and restrooms always easy to find.

I found it a bit chaotic service not the greatest, until a manager served me who spoke perfect English.

Germany's McDonalds offer a lot more than the standard fast food outlet. They have the typical counter but have more food options like the 'rosti' burger. They also have an specialist McCafe that serves coffee and cakes and delicious frappes that give Germany's McDonald's a cafe feel that sets it above the ones in the UK.

A McDonalds is a McDonalds, or so I thought. But you can't get a bacon roll here. how odd given the German liking for pork based products. Everything else pretty much as to be expected.

We popped in to buy a Happy Meal as I'm a toy and box collector. There is some building work going on in the building and you need to go upstairs to get to McDonalds. There is an escalator but I'm not sure if there's a lift. The McDonalds was a bit dark and dreary but the loos were clean... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
