We wanted some legit homemade pasta, and this filled out craving! The menu changes frequently, as I was craving some previous images from other reviews.... and they didn't have any of them. However, we made it work! Not super traditional Italian menu, but their house wine was good. €20 for the bottle, and the bread was very fresh too.

Great meal at this welcoming restaurant. Deceptively simple dishes, packed with flavour and really good value.

We went there yesterday and had a perfect meal. The pasta (with ossobuco) was cooked just perfect. And as a grumpy old man it was nice to see the waiter was more interested in her boyfriend than her clients. But we still got good service :-)

The owner is from Milan. Great homemade pastas. Our favorite was the Paccheri with ragu of ossobuco and the risotto. We also loved the braised octopus with chicory cream and pine nuts. We enjoyed the meal so much we returned a second time during our one week trip here from New York.

This dinner was supposed to be the highlight of the trip of a group of friends. The menu looked delicious and the place is very charming. When we arrived, we got no attention from the staff. Finally after a long wait, we stopped the waiter to ask for water. Because of the really high prices of bottled water in restaurants... More

First of all, make a reservation as the space here isn't so big. When we came, the place was completely full on a Friday at 7. We started with braised octopus (very good and served with pine nuts and a nice basil sauce) and beef tartare with fried cheese and saffron mayo (my husband ate it with eyes closed in... More

If you're looking for somewhere with great food, a superb wine selection, bags of atmosphere, utterly charming people, then go here. We've been many times, often on consecutive nights, it's that good. Just ten minutes walk north from Museum Island, it's in the slightly scruffy university district. Fabulous seafood (try the octopus), beautiful meat (vitello's great), and a wine list... More

We find it through tripadvisor and we said to give it a try since we wanted some Italian. A bit expensive but the food is first class. With a short menu. Try the pumpkin soup.!! :-)

Had lunch here a few a days ago! Great service and good food at a decent price. The restaurant is in a very nice area too. We both had pasta dishes from the limited lunch menu and they were both good and very large portions so you get enough food!

Thank Oggen

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
