I have been here countless times and have never been disappointed. The food is always delicious, I find the service to be good and the staff very patient with my poor German! It is inexpensive, normally I have spent between 22-28 euro total for myself and one other, for a starter and main course, a drink and sometimes dessert. Main... More

Mr. Long has the best Pho in Prenzlauer Berg. The Pho and the fresh spring rolls are delicious -- I cannot recommend them enough. The prices are quite reasonable as well.

Both the food and service were great. We both had a dish with duck, which was crunchy on the outside and perfect on the inside

We took a seat on the terrace in this quiet and nice neighbourhood. Service was quick and very friendly (restaurant should be named mrs. Long ;-) We ordered springrolls and crispy duck dishes. Everything was very well cooked and served. Duck was moist and tender on the inside and very crispy on the outside. Homemade lemonade was fabulous. Very good... More

This place was suggested to us by a friend who lives nearby. We visited twice, had excellent food both times. Very tasty, subtle aromas at very-very good price. The waiter didn't speak english fluently enough but did everything he could to cater for us. The second time we ordered a bottle of water but he suggested we save the 5,5... More

Seriously. This is one of the worst Vietnamese places, I have been to in berlin. Good things first: it s pretty cheap for this area. And they are trying to decorate the plates in a nice way (heart shaped rice, anyone?) That's all. And here the things I did not like: First, it smells. So plan to hang your clothes... More

Some friends and I tried this place on a weekday for lunch. We were in the mood for glass noodles and soup, and they definitely have both at this place. We sat down and we were all chatting, so we didn't really mind the slow service... but it was quite slow, especially seeing as we were the only customers. Among... More

This was one of my and my friends' joint ten years ago when I was living close by. Am glad to report that ten years on, the place has kept all what made it so pleasant: great food at great prices with super friendly and fast service. Highly recommended

Now known as 'Mr Long and Friends' we dropped in rather late-ish on a Wednesday evening. Having read good reviews on google and not finding a similar restaurant on Trip Advisor under the name above, we cautiously approached. Given it was late, it was not overly busy. The service was slow and inattentive. However the food more than made up... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
