There are times when you have sampled fine cuisine and meals from different locales, but you have a craving for something basic that reminds you of home without resorting to a McDonalds or Pizza Hut experience. For those moments I highly recommend Andy's Diner (there are a couple in Berlin) for fresh food, interestingly prepared, at good prices.

If you like American Diner Style food this is the place to go. Lovely Waitress who was only too happy to speak English and eager to help.

had a meal here during a recent visit to Berlin. The plate of ribs was huge! Cocktails were not too expensive and generally its decent place to go for good service and decent quality food.

I considered this a dinner of death. I was wondering why the burger prices were so much more reasonable than another burger place we tried and it's because they kill the cows twice. Not only that but when we paid with credit card the server tried to give himself a small tip by overcharging us. I also wanted a vodka... More

We visited here on our last night in Berlin - we wished we had visited earlier Great atmosphere- a helpful and polite waiter - warning - huge portions- my starter of Nachos would have been sufficient for three - but to be fair our waiter did warn us 😄 Would recommend and return

This is american style diner was OK for a quick lunch. The pizzas were quite good and well priced however the soft drinks, beer and coffee cost more then most cafés. The service was good, it had a nice city buzz and is adjacent to the sealife centre and dome

Found this place next to our hotel and chose to have breakfast here as hotel breakfast quite expensive at 25 Euros and this is a third of the price and very good. The staff are lovely and service excellent. Didn't eat any other meals here but would definitely recommend as a more budget friendly breakfast option.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
