Foie Gras and Coq au Vin were excelent. Service OK, but a bit slow. My wife had Bouef Bourguinone and was also good. Unexpensive Cote du Rhone is served, with more expensive options on the menu,

Saw this restaurant as walking past from our hotel to Check Point Charlie, checked out the menu and booked for that evening. It was a Saturday night and fairly busy. The service was excellent, our waiter spoke some English and was able to answer all of our questions asked in relation to the wording of the menu. The food was... More

Had a group dinner and the restaurant gets busy. Service was slow maybe because of the huge numbers. Food took almost 1 hour before being served. I had Le coq au vin which was just average in taste. Not sure I can return.

Outstanding atmosphere and food. Excellent onion soup. The entrecôte is cooked to perfection and the staff is friendly and efficient. Not cheap, but highly recommended.

Fantastic French Cuisine but the water was very expensive...we weren't offered tap, albeit we had the sommelier upgrade our wine choice. Otherwise a great venue.x

Might be difficult to get in without the reservation. Food was great. Mixed feelings about the service. Our first waiter was great but then they had a change of staff and we had another waiter who showed very little interest in us, so we skipped the dessert.

It is just another "french" restaurants in a prime location. It is a little pretentious. Yes, the stakes are excellent, but the service spoils them, what a shame ! Within few hundred meters there are several restaurants with good stakes

The restaurant is perhaps a bit on the noisy side, at least when it is full. Service was good, but you do best if you talk to them in French. The food was very good, though I am not so convinced to characgterize it as excellent. The meat was good, but they could not tell me if it was organic... More

As we were staying for a week in an hotel nearby, we were tempted by Entrecôte. The suggestions on the facade are in French, and so is the menu, but not all staff speaks French, and certainly not the lady welcoming us at the entrance. Anyway, we were quiet enthusiastic about having a French moment in Berlin, but if the... More

In such a good international worldwide known l expected more friendly staff, we had to wait a long time to be seated, they didn't pay attention to us until we complain. But the food is good yet pricy.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
