I ate here several times for both breakfast and lunch since I was at the hotel for a conference. The food selection was always very good as well as being tasty. The wait staff was excellent, but really impressed me is you constantly saw the kitchen staff checking the food and making little improvements.

We were one of two tables in the whole restaurant. More staff floating around than guests which should be a good thing but,..... we were not offered drink refills at any point, food took over an hour to come out (main course only) and when it arrived (all 3 main dishes at the same time which was nice - 3... This restaurant had been listed as having a view of Berlin. Well, it does, but it mostly looks out on a taller building across the street. The view is nothing to speak of. The fondue was very tasty, and the staff nice, even if a little clueless.

Had a great dinner dining solo and was made to feel very welcome by the staff, very attentive without being imposing. The service was immaculate and I could not have wished for a better evening. Would definitively visit again and recommend to fellow solo travellers.

This is a hidden jewel in Berlin, tasty Swiss food / and healthy ;)/, excellent service, slightly overpriced, with a spectacular view on landmarks of West Berlin.

Delicious lunch in a luxurious environment with a great view of Kurfürstendamm. Set menue for lunch includes water and coffee - a deal for 15€. The waitress wasn't sure what ingredients the dishes had but she found out.

I'm not normally one for posh restaurants but this is based in the Swissotel where we were staying and after a long day we didn't want to venture very far. I had a hard time choosing from the menu as the English translation was very basic and not very descriptive. In the end I was pleased with my meal and... More

Great service, great vine and excellent food! We really enjoyed our visit at Restaurant 44, went there for dinner. Try the beef tartar or the sliced veal in mushroom sauce, it's delicious. We had a Singerriedel Smaragd Riesling 2008 for the starters, I can definitely recommend that. The prices was reasonable compared to the great experience.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
