This is a nice and warm place to get a hot chocolate and recover from the cold days in Berlin. After a walk from Brandenburg to the Wall and visiting the site and the interpretation centre it was nice to have a place to sit and gra a bite. It was a bit hard to communicate with the lady at... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our unplanned lunch here.. Warm and cosy with a very friendly atmosphere we had delicious flammkuche (non stodgy pizza..) good beer and soup. The staff were delightful and so eager to help. The idea that it is staffed by people with learning difficulties is excellent. It is also connected to sheltered housing and is lovely oasis in a... Stopped here to get a boost of energy after a long walk in the city! The prices are ok and the place has a great position, close to the wall. The big cup of coffee and those tasty cakes just made our day brighter!

Some rather nice tortes to go with my coffee, though others were having light meals. This cafe is staffed by people with learning difficulties, although the food is good, the service can be 'erratic' . As the cafe is opposite the wall it is a good place to sit outside ( there are sun/ rain shades) and think about the... More

Nothing special here. Went in to have a cheap drink and snack. Considering cafe is in a "touristy" spot, we expected the cafe staff to be friendly. Staff were surprisingly and unexpectedly unfriendly. The drinks were fine, and reasonably priced. Will try one of the other cafes next time.

Perfect café to stop when visiting the historical sites of Bernauer Strasse, staff are brilliant, helpful, respectful, efficient and welcoming, all the staff are employed as part of the Lazarus project and are "less abled persons"

After visiting the Mauer Memorial I had a coffee on the terrace of this café with a good view at a part of the Berlin Wall. Given its location close to this touristic hot spot prices were very reasonable. The café is at walking distance of the S-Bahn station Nordbahnhof

Conveniently located next to the Mauer Museum you might expect this to be an expensive ripoff exploiting the tourists; you would be wrong. It is very reasonably priced and serves good fresh food. Order from the counter and your food will be brought to you. The cafe also serves a great function by employing disabled people.

Stopped off here during our visit to the memorial. Food quality/service and prices were excellent/good and quite refreshing after paying central berlin prices. Wasn't too busy and we got a seat in the sun but could imagine it being very busy if you pick the wrong time. Overall impressed and would recommend.

Located right next to the Berlin Wall Memorial, the café is certainly handy for its namesake. We were in need of refreshment so this place was ideal. You order at the counter but the service was friendly. It is attached to an old people's home and you have to go into it to access the toilets but naturally everything is... More
