Sabzi offers canteen-style eating. Three of us visited for lunch after reading good reviews on a food blog, but were disappointed. You get a fairly large bowl of rice with a small serving of thin stew. Perhaps we came towards the end of lunch, but the stews we received had only a few tiny pieces of meat/veg and were mainly... Small souterrain eatery where you order your food at the counter and take it to one of the high tables or to the small eating area at the back. Different Middle East dishes such as Persian style. They had a very tasty, thick mango lassi. I thought the quality and taste was good and definitely good value. This is not... More

Great oriental food served with tasty basmati rice, and damn cheap, so don't hesitate go for it ! The only drawback is the absence of toilets and the "standing" tables, but well for that price and quality one can't complain...

As an Iranian, it's hard for me to find authentic Iranian food in Berlin and this place is not helping with that either however it's a great place to eat anyway! Conveniently located in Mitte, it's a great place for quick business lunch. There's no place to sit so it's more like a Suppenboerse for that matter and actually the... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
