Located in Mitte and just a short walk away from Hackeschermarkt, Cocolo does live up to the hype it receives. Interested in checking it out for an early dinner? Make sure you come at least 15 minutes before it opens as there will always be a line outside the place. Cocolo is a small place, with only a few tables... More

Do you like the famous Japanese soups called Ramen? If yes, this is the right place for you. Good soups and quite nice restaurant. Just remember: they do not accept reservations and you can pay only in cash. Ah, also expect some queue!

I visited this place on my stag doo for a bit of snap before we went for a few tinnys and we all thoroughly enjoyed it, we're all big eaters and was filled and had the quality there with it as well, would recommend couples and families it's not really a bunch of lads place really.

I have been recommended this place by so many people that I was ready for some kind of disappointment. But I had a delicious meal, great service, lovely atmosphere, one of the best meals I had in Berlin.

Although it's really hard to get good ramen outside of Japan, this restaurant does a good job. Simple menu with the must popular ramen options, well executed but slightly lighter in flavour than the proper Japanese one, which is not a bad thing, especially if you are not used to have real ramen. Staff friendly and quick service. Totally recommend... More

The restaurant is located in a very nice part of Mitte and is constantly full of customers willing to even queue to eat there since its ramen is pretty good. If you have the choice, try to seat right in front of the kitchen to have a full view of everything that is going on. I was pretty excited to... More

It can be over populated but it is worth it!! Best ramen we had. And the light cocktails suits the starters and the ramen perfectly.

Menus in German and English, a small selection of tasty treats - all looking and smelling delicious. Freshly prepared while you wait. The kitchen is open for you to watch the cooking process. A small venue, you may have to wait for a seat. We shared a table with 2 other diners. Staff were efficient, meals were delivered in good... More

Tonkotsu Ramen, Gyoza and Edamame were very delicious! Shio ramen was ok. When we went there around 19:30 on Sunday, there was a line already. It took sometime to order and get served. This restaurant is not for nice relaxing dinner. Like ramen shops in Japan, quickly eat and go. Staffs are friendly.

We went there with 2 and the ramen is very good. We wanted to have another bowl, but we were full. The place is crowded (at least on a saturday evening), but we could sit outside which was very nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some good noodles and don't want to goo very... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
