I went with my four girlfriends, found this restaurant from trip advisor and I'm glad I found it because the breakfast was absolutely amazing! I had the egg and bacon with a side of sausage it was exceptional. The service was very friendly and welcoming. If I ever return to Berlin, I will visit again

Looking for that perfect flat white (or short or long black) then this is the place to get your fix. The café menu is based on what we would expect round the corner from home. Breakfast is excellent and the cakes of the day just go so well with the already mentioned great coffee. The perfect way to start the... More

Stopped here before another full day of sightseeing. We had a quick bite and this place was perfect for that.

We stopped in for a quick breakfast one morning, nothing more than a cup of coffee and a muffin/pound cake. The coffee they serve is very good and their bakery items are fresh. This is certainly a good neighborhood cafe to stop in for breakfast.

Great coffee and tasty shepherds pie. The place has got a nice terrace for summer brunch. Mixed crowd and more than friendly staff.

When walking around we saw a sign for the Antipodes, so we gave it a try. you get a warm welcome in German and English, when sit down you are given a menu and glass of water, there always seems to be lively banter going on with customers. The scrambled eggs they do are real great, and you get information... More

I had scrambled eggs and a salad, a divergent from the menu but they were happy to cater for what I felt like eating. I would have loved some hash browns, mushrooms and spinach too. Tried the Prana Chai made with soy milk and whilst a little to small/short for me, it was delish! Slight shortage of seats on arrival... More

For 8 months in 2011 and again in 2013, my family consisting of 1 handsome husband, 2 beaut kids, a handful of incredible Australian acrobats and my Kiwi/Aussie self landed in Berlin for 2 seasons at the beautiful Chamaeleon Theatre, Mitte. Antipodes became my/our home. Jane, Paul and Edna became our life-line. We would meet religiously for seriously, the best... More

We've been in Berlin for 5 days, we travelled lot of Cafè, bar and restaurant, but this place is my favourite. Nice Cafè that serve u the typical european breakfast, contaminated with some Australian flavours. This mix make every dish incredible. The only flaw is the number of seats.. the Cafè is a little small and a big group like... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
