We found this restaurant and ate breakfast here twice! The food was tasty and hot. The servers were happy to make changes to the menu to accommodate my husband's dietary issues. The ambiance is very cozy.

The food was delicious. I cant complain about this. But when i asked the waiter where was the toilette, just because he was getting the order of one table, he treated me very bad because i interrupted him. I agree with him, i was really wrong. But he could talk to me in a more polite way, not that rude... More

Came here for a brunch. The slowest service ever. And if u ask about your order which isn't come since 50 minutes (for a breakfast ) they are unfriendly and unhelpful. If you can't handle many people then don't do this job.

We've been to Gorki Park again after a few years, and we found it nice and good, as we knew it. Some 4-5 years ago we visited it (several times, actually) for breakfast -which, by the way, was excellent, worthed every penny. This time we have tried lunch time, and we found great satisfaction in the Borsch, which made us... More

The service is worst than a communist bath house. The untidy staff leaves plates of food to rot and nourish the birds and bums who freely pass. It's hard to find a seat without bird poop and chances are a homeless man sat there before you. I didn't have the courage to try the food but for the birds sake... More

A very fun and well thought out restaurant. The Russian menu was more diverse than I expected and did have fun options for the vegetarian. It was heavy food but well tasting and the decor was very much in line with the East German/Russian nostalgia. Fun place! Go there.

I recently visited Gorki Park for breakfast, and it was delicious. I got the "cheese breakfast," which is a bit misleading, becomes it comes with much more than cheese. The service was prompt and attentive, even though I believe they were understaffed the morning I visited. The décor was interesting: we were in a room decorated with early 20th-century hand... More

I love partaking in a little Russian cuisine whenever I'm in Berlin. I've been to Gorki Park before and it's a solid bet. The menu is extensive, the food portions are great, the food is tasty. The only negative about the restaurant is the hugely smokey atmosphere which as a Canadian is difficult to take even after you've acclimatized to... More

I've been to Gorki Park quite a few times and it's like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates: you don't know what you're going to get! The food's never been a problem but the service ... Get the wrong kind of waitress, as we did this morning, and she'll play 'Can't see you, haven't seen you, won't see you' even though... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
