Moved to Kreuzberg recently and was exploring a bit and found this place. First impression was great, lovely staff, great coffee and amazing cinnamon buns. Second time I go there, staff was ok but my cinnamon bun was extremely dry (almost stale). Third visit I got a delicious fresh moist cinnamon bun again but had to deal with some sad... More

The decor is impressive, as was the coffee and the banana bread. People there seemed friendly and laid back, lovely place to warm up. Shame that the lady behind the counter was very abrupt with us, rude and made us feel unwelcome. Thought it might have been because she was busy - said bye on the way out with a... More

We randomly went by this nice and cozy little place and decided to have a coffee break. Next to a superb coffee we had a delicious piece of cake and the staff is really friendly, too.

I spent a few hours sitting outside Katie's Blue Cat waiting for a friend. Excellent coffee and really relaxed atmosphere. Came back again for breakfast each morning during my trip.

There were three gluten-free sweet options, so we tried them all and all were delicious! The coffee is highly recommended. I hear that the beans are roasted in Berlin... If this was my neighbourhood, this would be my coffee hangout. Do it!

Lovely little cafe near the canal between Kreuzberg and Neukölln. They have some of the best cakes - such as rhubarb cheesecake and pecan pie - and also really great coffee.

Staying in Neukolln

Neighbourhood Profile
Neukolln
No Berlin neighbourhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as “Little Istanbul“. Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
