We had a variety of warm starters and main courses. It certainly was not spicy, but it all had lots of lovely Asian flavors in it. The service was quick and friendly. Very affordable prices !

Found this place on trip advisor using the "near me" function though I got so lost in the offerings that this place turned out to be quite far from where we were, despite that I had already decided we were going so we went! We got off the u-bahn and walked through the 'colourful' streets before arriving at Papaya with... More

I tried the pad Thai and a salad with prawns and both dishes were really tasty. The service is fast too.

So although I'm a huge fan of thai so wherever i try it, i love it. Pad Thai in here was just amazing spicy just right and it was perfect with the coconut milkshake. The portions were big though, so make sure no snack before going there! Danke schon Papaya😁

I went for lunch to this restaurant and I had a soup and a dish with tofu, both were very heavy: the tofu was deep fried, even though it was not specified in the menu. It was a daily special, advertised as very tasting, but was definitely not worth it. My friend was also disappointed with the food. I won't... More

I have been to Thailand many times as I have family there and I do miss the amazing food you get over there. Papaya is a great Thai restaurant. The staff is very nice and the food is delicious as well as authentic. I love that they offer Thai drinks too! So happy I found an amazing Thai restaurant in... More

One of the better Thai spots in Berlin. It's not always on the menu, but look for or ask for shrimp and coconut soup. Super tasty with some hot spice and cilantro, we get it every time we visit. In English or in german, language can be an issue here. Make sure they know what you ordered, especially if you... More

Papaya was busy the evening I went with my family. We were early and we're lucky to get in. I'd definitely recommend booking. My brother and I have been to Thailand and love Thai food. We were really impressed by the range and quality of the dishes. I especially liked the green papaya salad and the Isaan special lab. There... More

The food was quite alright and the whole location made a normal impression. As in the title it was just not very impressive. Neither the food nor the service made a long lasting impression and as far as my food was concerned - i would just say - ok...

I was passing by Berlin-Charlottenburg for business and read the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. The place is nice, albeit not luxurious. It might not have some of the classic or more sophisticated dishes that you find in good Thai restaurants in London but food quality is second to none! Service is pretty efficient too, despite the place being very busy... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
