Having visited Vietnam I can say this food is authentic. Super delicious and super cheap! Decor is quirky, very popular with locals. Highly recommend.

I came here on my first night in Berlin. We had tried to go to a few different places, but couldn't get in as we hadn't booked or the queues were too long. Then we spotted this place from across the road and were in luck...whilst it was packed, someone was just leaving. Food was cheap and incredibly fresh and... More

Delicious food & drink (smoothie), good value (starters €6 ish, but generous), mains €9 ish. Really enjoyable, filling meal.

If you're looking for good food, for a reasonable price, this is the place. Although the music choice is ridiculous, the crispy duck makes everything better;)

Near the U-Bahn station Rosenthaler Platz, this vietnamese restaurant offers good food and enormous portions that will leave you satisfied. It tends to be cheap (most dishes cost 6-9 euros), and we certainly enjoyed our hot pho during a particularly cold winter evening.

This restaurant has a very unassuming exterior, but wow the food is delicious & the value for quality/quantity portions is very impressive. If only it were round the corner from where we live! Would recommend to all. Particularly enjoyed the crispy duck with peanut sauce & chicken with veg. May try & squeeze in another visit before we go home.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
