Went here for a business dinner. Had some very tasty and great food. It was really a treat! Everything was so well prepared, great taste and perfectly cooked. Very much a restaurant worth visiting!

I was initially attracted the locally sourced produce on the ever changing menu, but it turned out the experience was so much more. My husband and I enjoyed a drink in the hotel lobby area first which was so quirky and unusual I couldn't take my eyes off the deco. We then headed to the restaurant and we were greeted... More

I must say if the nice british waitress wouldn't be there i would give lower score to this one. The food was avarage and well small. It was not enough for me. It's in a weird place and you can hardly get in. Well it's okay overall.

This place has a really cool atmosphere and all the staff was extremely friendly. Despite of the recommendations we weren't totally satisfied the portions were special but very small and their prices were high.

Lively atmosphere. Friendly service. Very good tapas style food. My black pudding dish was fantastic. White asparagus/grilled leeks and celeriac dishes were all very good. Pigs head fritters a bit underwhelming but confit pork very good.

Came here after being told it is a must when visiting the city. We were the first in the restaurant and have to admit a little sceptical at this point. Ordered the lunch tray (12 euros) and it was one of the best, and the best value meal we had in Berlin. The lunch tray consisted of red pepper soup,... More

We only stumbled across this place as we were staying at the hotel and we are so happy that we did! Food was incredible, delicious and beautiful sharing plates. I was particularly impressed with the celeriac dish and my boyfriend was crazy about the beef dish. Service was great with staff chatty but not overbearing, knowledgeable about the dishes and... You need to worry when asked 'Can you speak English?' by the maitre d'. Who then says, 'Nice One' when you affirm that you can. In the centre of Berlin, Capital of Germany. His German was not very good he said. Say no more..... Worry even more when a concept is explained and then 50% of the concept was not... More

Went based on friends reviews. And, I wasn't let down. The cool factor or the hotel and restaurant is not even up for debate. Cool Kids hang here full stop. Anyways, like it or not. Hipster or not. It's a gem in my mind.. The dishes are very decent priced too considering the produce is organic and local. The Green... More

Last night I visited the Michelberger for the first time, and I can't wait to go back! The concept is: food to share. Each of us ordered 3 plates and we shared everything. I can highly recommend the duck, braised pork croquettes and the churros with chocolate sauce. But pretty much everything was very tasty. Ask for a table in... More

Description
We use organic ingredients in our kitchen and if possible, locally grown and produced by farmers in the Brandenburg countryside. Every morning, 7 - 11am weekdays and 8am - 12pm weekends, we start our day with a delicious, healthy and nutritious buffet with homemade jams and spreads. It's a breakfast to power you up rather than weigh you down. Dinner, served from 6:30 - 11pm, from Tuesday to Sunday, is organic and local as ever, but with a more fine-dining take on things.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
