Nice and accommodating place, quite hidden not far from Potzdamer Platz. Good for romantic dinner, date, evening with friends. We went there twice during our stay in Berlin. First night, food was amazing (we asked for fillet and ribeye), done perfectly, yummy sides, very good selection of wines but we had to wait for over 1 hour for food to... More

After being in Berlin for a short break we struggled to find somewhere decent to eat with genuine nice food. Then we came here and that completely changed. Exceptional food and drinks at amazing prices. It's hard to find a decent steak at a reasonable price but the steak here was excellent and the presentation of the food was exceptional.... More

I have reviewed this restaurant as average, because I felt the food and the venue warranted this rating. However, I would say that the service was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our steaks arrived rare; we forgot to ask for medium and the waiter didn't ask us. Also there was way too much asparagus. The wine was quite... More

If you ate seeking a nice place to eat good quality meat accompanied with a red wine this is your place. Great service and super reasonable prices! Very recommended.

I have eaten steaks in countless restaurants around the world - from high end to chain restaurants and it was the worst I have ever tasted! I am not even sure it was steak. The 300g Ribeye was €19 BUT it wasn't even worth €1. If you love steak like my friend and I do please don't waste money. You... More

We went here based solely on Trip Advisor reviews. The soft drinks were flat and the mass of garlic butter came with some bread in an attempt at 'garlic bread'. Three of the fillet steaks were OK, however mine was full of fat. I had also asked for it to be cooked medium to well, but it came out rare.... More

Nothing here worth a special mention. The decor, service and food is very mainstream and touristy. The service however was very friendly and the stakes tender, but nothing that warrants a top 100 spot on the Berlin restaurant scene.

Ordered pepper steaks and beer. The only dissapointment was that we got our drinks after the food. But that would rather say something about how fast the food is. The meat was perfect and our dessert was also really good. The staff was really nice and took excellent care of us. I would reccomend this to everyone.

Visited Asador when in Berlin with friends last week and can honestly say it was the best steak I've ever had. I ordered the fillet rare and it was cooked perfectly. My two friends also had the fillet one medium and the other medium rare, both also cooked to perfection. The meat was so tender that it just melted on... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
