We dined here on a weekday night. It's quite a big restaurant but it was still busy. Book in advance if hoping to done here at the weekend. We chose two soups for starters (€3.50 each). It was a creamy garlic soup. It was so good. Good size portion (not huge full bowl!) and really good flavours. If having steak... More

Wonderful food and nice ambience. If you like a good steak - this is somewhere to come! Available for lunch and dinner (same menu). Cosy inside.

We read a good review about this place on Foursquare and decided to have our first meal on our arrival to Berlin. The atmosphere was really warm and inviting and we were welcome by friendly and smiling waiters . Being typical tourists we both chose the schnitzel which was super and the Asador salad which was extra fresh and tasty.... More

On Friday evening we visited the "Asador" without any reservation and still got a table to seat - a rez is advisable. It was very well attended, so we had to wait more than half a hour for our starter, a mixed salat with chicken breast. Good, but nothing special. We both had some beef filet with sides - had... We just entered around 8:00pm and got a table after 10min waiting. We have received good recommendations for wine and steak. We have had a very good evening. The Entrecôte was very very delicious.

Me and my husband both ate ribeye steaks with different sauces and they were delicious and cooked just the way we liked! My husband is very picky about steaks and really enjoyed this place which means that this is a place worth trying if you are in the neighbourhood. The only downside was the decor that was a bit dated.

Thank kopras

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
