The bartender here was incredibly rude. I speak fluent German and the second he detected an American accent, he began to insult me in front of the other bartenders. Little did he know, I knew exactly what he was saying. Great hotel, but the bar and bar service was horrible and I will NEVER go back.

Good and attentive service. It does not have a big menu but managed efficiently. There are a few traditional dishes offered.

This bar is in the hotel that the conference was in. Had some drinks here. Comfy place to chat with friends.

Great place for evening or late night drink. The surrounds are beautiful and brings one back to Berlin of yesteryear.

As almost all beer I had in Berlin, theirs was very good. There was decent live music twice while I was there. Staff is very attentive and prompt. Prices are what you'd expect at an Intercontinental - not cheap.

A wonderful place to relax, have a drink, and listen to a piano-man who plays wonderfully Jazz songs. Joana is amazing at the bar as well as her evening colleagues. But definitely go during the evening and not in the afternoon. Service is not the same.

We came due to reviews and the selection didn't disappoint. A nice warm evening we sat outside. With so much to choose from it took our party about 5 minutes to decide. Slightly expensive however service and drinks make it worth while..

Maryland's bar is in the Intercontinental hotel, and has a really relaxing atmosphere, it's a great place to spend an evening. There's a huge range of cocktails, average price is about 12 euros, and we were given a dish of olives, ham and cheese bubbles to go with them. The staff were attentive and the burgers we ordered came quickly... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
