They need to seriously learn how to make a real margarita and need to tone down the lime in the guac. Other then that, it was very good!

Here's the deal - you're opening a restaurant or any other kind of hospitality business to delight your customers. I don't think that was the case when they've opened Tipica. I've booked it a week in advance after reading about it in wallpaper. They confirmed but then couldn't find my reservation. Entering the restaurant and getting a long face for... More

We have been in the restaurant on Monday June 20 at approx. 8:15pm. We were the only guests. Per welcome card guide the restaurant offers 25% off for all main dishes of the menu and seasonal menu for welcome card owners. We tried to order a main meal for two persons (charged per person). This was rejected by the waitress... More

Stopped there few time for drink so though we’ll try to have some food. Arrived to half-full restaurant and once we sat staff told us we won’t be served sue to kitchen staff shortage! Well, I’ve noticed few reserved tables and not sure why such a bad attitude. Took my business somewhere else.

We ate here as we were staying just over the road at Adina. I asked for veggie enchiladas and they were very tasty and just had a nice kick to them. My partner had fajitas but found them very disappointing and the tortillas themselves were very small (about the size of a small saucer) and there were only 4. We... More

This restaurant claims to serve genuine Mexican food. Sadly, the reality is very different. The meal got off to a bad start when our waitress constantly forgot components of the order. When the food eventually came, we weren't brought any cutlery and it took a long time to get her attention and the much needed cutlery. The food was ok,... More

This is apparently a restaurant serving authentic mexican food. Well, it's not. What they serve are more German variations of mexican dishes. However, the non-authentic food was't even my biggest problem with this place. In retrospect I wish I had read some of the lower rated reviews before going because the waitress at this place is really in a league... More

Nice local restaurant, small and quiet. Tasty food and good service. Just in the outskirts of Hackescher markt. I go there every time I am in Berlin.

People quibble about "authentic " Mexican food. That's so irrelevant. "How does it taste?" is much more important. This is damn fine food in the Mexican style at a decent price in a lovely space. Also, they have just about the best margarita since I tasted my first one many years ago in Tucson (also probably not authentic-- but delicious).... More

Food was ok, nicely presented, but nothing to knock your socks off and some of the tortilla tasted stale. The bill was surprisingly large.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
