The decor here is a little bit contrived but once you get past that the quality of the steaks is great. We had big starters so the menu which offered "mini steaks" was great. In our party we had mini sirloin and mini fillet steaks which were excellent and served with a huge salad

The build up was great, some good reviews, the area pleasant but then reality...........a fillet steak 2 steps over cooked, a rump steak that could have been used as a cricket bat, undercooked potato with no seasoning and over cooked green beans. The corn on the cob was nice! The only thing that separates the peppercorn sauce from the mushroom... More

As you would expect in a steak house the menu revolved around meat. The staff were attentive and the service was quick and friendly. We had the Mixed Grill at 15.50€ and the Lamb Cutlets at 7.50€. My local 500ml beer was 3.90€ and a 200ml glass of Chardonnay was 4.80€. From the menu: Entrees from 2 to 7.90€, Salads... More

This place was near our hotel. We were able to walk to the restaurant. We thought a steak sounded good so we decided on La Parrilla. We had steaks, baked potatoes, salads, and bread. We asked for extra butter for the potatoes and to our surprise when we received the bill, the extra butter was an extra cost. Overall we... More

Plenty to eat - steaks various. All cooked beautifully. Huge baked potatoes. Lovely salads, and just around the corner from the trendy restaurants by the river

Had the extra large sirloins, 400g with not a hint of fat orgristle. Not on the menu so ask for the large steak. Three course meal for two with beer, 68 euros. Stumbled upon it because the places by the river were packed, recommend to anyone

We had dinner here and pfifferlinge mushorroms were on the specials list (Chanterelle mushrooms) which are a delicacy in Germany at this time of the year. I had pork loin steaks (3) in a sauce on a bed of pfifferlinge with fantastic brat kartofflen.. Absolutely lovely and such tender pork. My wife had pasta with pfifferlinge and she enjoyed it... It was probably one of the worst meals I have ever had from eating out. The sauce seemed like it was taken out from a ready made pack with salt added. The vegetables were clumsily cooked and burned with little attention. The meat tasted like paper and entire thing was disgustingly salty and gave me and my friends a stomach... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
