Great find, thanks to trip advisor reviews. Easy to locate, just off Rosthener Str and the small dishes were just gorgeous! Great value too. Try the Cumi Cumi calamari, barbecue pork and the green curry. All delicious! We had 8 dishes (including rice) and drinks and it was under 40€.

Our family of 3 adults visited in late December, before New Year. We had to wait a bit longer than everybody else as they do not leave a seat empty in the place, so if you have a "difficult to accommodate" party of 3, you have to wait for a 3 persons table (a 4 person table would go to... More

This place is great! It's like Thai tapas. They have 'small bowls' (tapas style - given they are small) at approx €3.50 per bowl. Then "large bowls" more a main dish at €7.50-9. If you are hungry you will need 2 or 3 small bowls and rice (€1 per small / individual serving). We had walked past here a few... More

Have visited numerous times and never been disappointed by this enjoyable experience. The extensive menu offers authentic tasting Asian cuisine. Relaxed atmosphere despite being busy. Be careful the stairs to the bathroom are slippery!

I came here for dinner because my sister loves the place and I was surprised! It's a real cool restaurant with dimmed lighting, black walls and very simple and modern decoration. It also reminded me of a bar because of the good and loud music. The service was fast and nice. The menu had mostly appetisers (3,50€ each) and only 4... More

Probably our 4th or 5th visit to Transit on Rosenthaler. Never once had a poor dish. Excellent quality, price and service. Nasi Goreng remains a personal favourite. Will definitely return next time in Berlin.

Thank Andrew D

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
