Called in here for lunch on a weekend trip to Berlin. We all ordered the curry wurst special. Food was ok for what we paid for it.

We do not sell currywurst in our restaurant. Perhaps the wrong restaurant rated? Best regards from Berlin More

Let's start with the good...I'm a huge fan of art deco, and this place is dripping with period detail. Some of the food was spot on too. The soup, lobster bisque, with a marinated scallop (although I must admit that to my taste buds, the marinating added very little) was great. The main, rare lamb was generous, and went well... More

We were sent here at the last minute by our hotel and were warned that they were busy. Shortly after we were seated a group of 20+ students arrived, and to the consternation of the staff, brought 4 more people than they had originally reserved, including someone inn a wheel chair. They were in a small area next to us,... More

We were here for lunch with kids, and even kids menu was prepared perfectly, with proper sauce and decoration. Risotto and bouillabaisse were impeccable!

Very friendly staff, great surroundings, good food. But be prepared as, like others have said, it is a bit pricey. Bear that in mind, and you will have an enjoyable evening.

I know it's a bit crass to try French cuisine in Germany but we found ourselves at a loose end lunch-wise, it was nearby and had good Tripadvisor reviews. We had lobster bisque, escargots, calf's liver, swordfish and a stand-out pork with mustard sauce that cut like a fillet steak. Quite reasonably priced, excellent service, beautiful interior and thoroughly recommended.

The is a nice restaurant with a lot of atmosphere and friendly personnel. The prices are in the high end in relation to the quality of food.

The food here is excellent , it is pricey but worth it if you would like a special dinner . It is located metres away from one of the best markets and the staff are very friendly . We booked online and arrived late as we did get a bit lost before we got there but our table was still... More

My wife and I met up with two friends who were also on a city break to Berlin for dinner and chose the Brasserie based on the previous reviews. Our table was clear but not ready for us when we arrived 10 minutes early. The staff were slow in bringing menus and taking drinks orders and even took the food... More

Although the restaurant was very busy with Large Christmas parties, we were allocated a quiet comfortable corner table, which for older folk was ideal. The service was excellent by a youngish guy who spoke good English & was very attentive. And we enjoyed our food very much - escalope of veal for my wife & duck for me. The bill... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
