We stopped here for food and was very impressed. The service was good, the food tasty, prices reasonable and the restaurant was very clean. Definitely a good place to have food on Unter Den Linden.

We stumbled across this place by chance and had a very pleasant experience. Prices are reasonable and the food is good -- we both had the excellent currywurst with fries and salad; everything was cooked to perfection.

Stopped in after walking the area to grab a light dinner and decided this would be a good place to try currywurst (which to those of you who have never tried tasted a little like a hot dog without a bun with a spicyish ketchup) while my wife ordered the meatball (read: meatloaf) and a very tasty beer. When we... More

We didn't expect a lot because it was already 3 pm and normally the restaurants don’t have warm meals at that time. But we had some really great meals. The staff wasn't that friendly but it was okay. We were a bit in a hurry, maybe that's why they weren't so happy :)

Great little place for a coffee/tea stop. Sit outside and watch the world go about its business. Lights snacks and cakes are good.

Came here for some German food and drink, and we got it. Schnitzel(€14.90) was only ok,as the batter would come off as you were cutting into it. The Currywurst(€8.90) was delicious. They also had a decent beer selection. Most half litres were €4.70

On the way to our walking tour meeting point we stopped by this neat little place and ordered the famous Berliner Currywurst. The food and service were excellent! We are actually thinking of stopping by tomorrow before we head out to have a Schnitzel. :)

Pros: not as expensive as other places and great position to rest and enjoy the view on Unter den Linden. Cons: personal not so friendly and my chai latte was so very sweet. Didn't try the food so I can't say anything about that, although I saw what two ladies in the near table were eating, and it looked good.

Stopped off here by chance walking down the Unter Den Linden. It was lunchtime + the café was busy. The waiter was swift in his greeting + friendly with his advice. The food was very good and served promptly. Another waiter spent time with the people on the next table explaining a some length a question they had asked. He... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
