Wanted to try this restaurant, so, went 10 min. after opening, tried to enter; waiter was cleaning outside tables after some rain, so we asked whether we were too early; all he answered was "Yes!", no offer of a drink or anything; won`t get near that place again

C'est le vrai chose! The restaurant is now called "Gourmanderie." It serves a limited menu of excellent authentic French cuisine. We had a very good dinner, three courses with wine accompanied, served in a charming manner in a beautiful garden setting. A little bit of Paris in one of Berlin's most lovely neighborhoods.

Formerly Le Piaf, Gourmanderie is located a few minutes away by foot from Charlottenburg Palace. An attractive little garden at the front leads you to the French bistrot style restaurant where homemade jams, bread etc. can also be purchased. The owner and staff were very welcoming and obliging. A lot of care was given to the presentation of the dishes... More

We visited Le Piaf in Charlottenburg and had not only a good meal and drink, but also really enjoyed the bistro like environment. I'd recommend to book as the restaurant is small and very busy. We received good service and enjoyed our stay. We'll be back.

Spontaneously came here. Although living 5min away and loving French it was our first visit and we will definitely come back. The food was delicious - big portions and not expensive compared to other restaurants. Service a little confused - two servers on a very busy night but we didn't mind. It felt like France ... Merci!

We were there once: never again. It's very expensive considering that the food is OK but nothing special. It's a pseudo-French experience: the waiter puts on a bit of a show but there is not enough substance... The wine was awful (and expensive): it certainly wasn't a Bordeaux wine as the waiter claimed. As a couple you can easily spend... More

If you are up to the real French experience, come here. Nice set up like in a French Bistro, daily recommendations are written on the board of the day, wonderful French waiter and a good cuisine. The foie gras and the filet de boeuf were just amazing, served with a good Chateau Meursault - by coincidence it was the Burgundy... More

For me, who has been living in Paris for almost 20 years by now, i felt like eating in one of my area s corner restarants/bistrots in Paris when I ate in this restaurant. Because the food was traditional French food which were not really modernised, i.e. a bit heavy. I find the culinary-scape in Berlin fascinating, because in Berlin... More

A little fatigued by schnitzel and kartoffel, we fell upon Le Piaf, recommended by a Berlin Michelin-starred chef as one of the places he liked to eat when he went out. WIth a small dining room and generous terrasse (much too cold the nght we were there), Le Piaf is a ten minute walk from the Ubahn stop in Charlottenberg... More
