This is a nice/ ok place to eat. If you like tapas a lot, you will be disapointed, but it is not bad. Almost everything tasted ok, and some of the tapes was even bether than ok. I would not suggest to order a mixed plate, because they will serve you what benefits the restaurant in terms of food costs.... More

Stopped for dinner, were one of the few guests in the restaurant. Took house red wine, quite nice, good idea of serving it in a pitcher. Ordered a bunch of tapas. They were not bad, but not great either, just some food to keep one going. Average food Average prices Average service My recommendation: you can do better in Mitte!!

Mainly serves spanish tapas. Great for dinner with a group of friends, chit chat over food, wine or beer. Food quality is above average, so go ahead and order away. However be mindful that its torilla portion is larger than usual.

We had dinner Saturday night there with some friends. The service was slow and not quite friendly to be honest. The vibe of the place was not adequate for a Spanish restaurant.

Very nice Spanish food, best suited to share with friends. Staff is very friendly, a bit overwhelmed when the place is crowded but nevertheless you get a very homey feeling at Ruz.

We were the 12 of us and the owner gently advised to take half the number of tapas. We definitively had enough! Bright choice without non-sense.

They had a lot of choices ... vegetarian too. Mainly Spanish dishes, but they had made great Pasta as well. The prices in this neighbourhood are much cheaper than the city center.... and this part is 1-2 just train stops away from main attractions

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
