Seven guests - all of us thinks the food has been well made. Our waiter gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It's like an Italian restaurant in Italy!

We visited here for our last night out in Berlin, the staff were unfriendly. One waiter started to serve us and as i couldn't decide in a bottle of wine he walked away without any explanation. The food was tasty although the menu was limited. When it came to paying the bill i asked the waiter who then walked away... More

Another outdoor restaurant placed at one of the many squares in Berlin. Lot of people in this area and fun to just sit and watch the people. We had a pizza here and it was so so.. had better pizza in other restaurants.

We wanted a decent lunch before heading to the airport and we certainly got it here. Spaghetti Bolognese and Tagliatelle with prawns washed down with beautiful rose wine. And a lovely basket of fresh bread to soak up the pasta sauce. We were very happy. It's a great spot for people watching too.

Our family had a nice meal in he outdoor seating on a warm summer night. Good experience except that if you ask for water for the table they won't give you tap water and instead bring you a bottle for 7.5 euros. Denying tap water or other free or low-cost water is common in Berlin, but 7.5 euros was hard... More

Excellent pizza and starters, however we were disappointed that some of the staff were quite rude, perhaps it's due to the impending brexit, however we all voted remain, one of the waiters was clearly making fun of us with a table of other customers while we were shorting out the bill assuming that we didn't understand any German, he was... Nice big pizzas! Good service compared to some other restaurants in the tourist areas of Berlin. Was not too expensive. Nice to sit outside and people watch.

Other reviewers have noted Ossena is pretty average and that seems a fair assessment. It's not bad, just not especially good. They don't do tap water so you have to pay for bottled water but on the plus side the bread and olives were complimentary. We lunched on a pizza (salami) and spaghetti carbonara - both were acceptable but neither... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
