Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed this place So much! Sat outside in the beautiful beer garden. Party of 10. It was the first day of Oktoberfest and this was the highlight of my day. Better service and ambiance than the festival itself! Christian the owner visited our table...as if we were old friends. Such a nice guy. Our server was fantastic and the food was superb. The live band started out with lively tunes then after dinner turned to great rock. People dancing in the huge beer garden like a rock concert. Great time!More

Angry servers do not help the experience at this location. I would find a different establishment. Could have been such a good experience. The ambiance was loud and boisterous, but the service was horrible.

We loved the terraced garden, it’s huge, and it was packed a few days before Oktoberfest. The staff was working hard, especially when it started to rain and everyone ran inside. Good food and great location and vibe!

Came here for lunch at the beer garden with friends. On a weekday, it wasn't busy at all. The beer garden is large. Service was good and the staff spoke English. The food traditional Bavarian fare, but the portions were a decent size. Menus in...English are available. Of course, the beer was amazing.More

We visited on a Sunday evening so there was a limited menu. However, although it was busy it was possible to find a seat and the atmostphere was very good. An authentic brauhaus and we enjoyed our visit.

This beer house has a much better experience than the famous Hofbrauhaus. The service was fast and friendly. The food was fantastic. You should definitely try the final dessert on the menu, the steamed bread pudding. We arrived at 3pm on a Saturday and stayed...until 10pm. There was no music but it was very lively inside with people cheering. It was raining so we all piled inside. Enjoy! Well worth the trip. It’s right near a tram station that easily takes you back into the city centre.More

Love visiting this Beer Garden it's not far from the centre but feels far away from the noise and bustle of the city. The beer is Great the food is too and the atmosphere is brilliant. Can't come to Munich without visiting. And it's great...they don't allow Stag/Hen parties so we know it can be noisy but no annoying "blazing" groups.More

Good beer and left to make a choice for our meals. They arrived. Hot and tasty. Reasonable price. We were there...at 5pm on a Thursday so although busy not super busy.More

A good experience with loads of cheap, good food and enormous beers. The place was loaded but the staff managed to serve us well. Toilets was clean, but the toilet "guard" seemed to shrug and laugh of my little monetary donation when I emptied my...wallet of cents, so the place somehow managed to make me feel like a fool when we left the place. Also somewhat weird that the server asked for tip so she did not have to split up my bill.More

A family group of mainly carnivores wanted an authentic selection of Bavarian food; we found it here. However the service was so erratic that it destroyed the congeniality of the dinner—two of the 7 of us received meals straightaway and had finished before the rest...of us were even served. One salad arrived with those meals, while the other was delivered after the other five main dishes arrived. An appetiser plate arrived after those five main dishes. This all in spite of the fact that we speak German and were clear in our order. A real mess—and then the waiter was offended that we didn’t give a tip, which seemed OTT to us.More

There is very little that is green to eat at this restaurant. Portions of pork knuckle are huge, as are the dinner-plate size radishes, the Olympic basketball pretzels, and the two pounds of sauerkraut that was ladled onto my plate with the sausages. This place...is very very popular. There are many people scattered around a huge beer garden under leafy trees and big umbrellas. If you want a traditional Bavarian beer garden experience, this is the place to go.More

This was the quintessential German Biergarten experience. It’s a little hard to figure out what is going on and how to order, but that’s part of the charm. Food was authentic and excellent. The Augustiner wheat beer is amazing, light and refreshing, but still with...a ton of flavor. You can tell that this place is loved by tourists and locals alike.More

This was a great experience. Went with a friend and this was more like the Biergarten that I was expecting. It seemed like, and there may have been, 2,000 people there. They had a band playing which started off for the first hour playing traditional...German drinking songs, but then gradually morphed into 80's pop-99 Red Balloons. The band did not take themselves too seriously which was good and plenty of people were up and dancing-some moving the throng of people. Tried a Helles-good-and a Radler at the suggestion of a friend. The Radler is probably not the drink that I would start with, but it amkes totally sense after already having a couple of beers as you can continue to drink but cruise along (lower alcohol content). Definitely only for summer.More
