Family celebration - birthday. Six adults and two 2.5 old boys. Excellent dinner and service, one vegetarian and the kids were also taken good care of. Vielen Dank und Auf Wiedersehen!

Very good wine list and variety of old and new world wines. We were there twice just for drinks, so did not have a chance to sample the food. The service is attentive, and if too attentive they are not insulted when you ask to pour your wine yourselves. Atmosphere is very romantic, candles and an ancient building. I would... More

i visited this restaurant nearly 20 years ago, and its still just as good. Great place for good wines and a classic German menu. Everything, the food, the service and atmosphere was exceptional. Highly recommended. Great appetizer menu tool

We have asked the concierge at our hotel for a suggestion on where to eat local food, and his first suggestion was Weinhaus Neuner. We were at first a little apprehensive. But the place couldn't be better. Local food really well and delicately prepared. The presentation also great! The place's atmosphere is typical Bavarian but with a modern twist!

Pretty modern Bavarian renderings of food in a very atmospheric setting. It's meant to be the oldest wine bar in Munich. Food can be accompanied by a long wine list. One can choose from at least 2 dozen wines by the glass or from the comprehensive wine list.

Just had dinner there with a group for business. Food is really excellent but maybe the portions, especially the starters, are maybe a bit on the small side for the pricing (or dishes too big?). Service staff very friendly but the getting served food and drinks really was on the long side. The wine list was really excellent. All in... More

German food is the most under-rated cuisine in my opinion - it really isn't all unpronounceable sausages. I had the most exquisite (few) glasses of Rioja, served by the glass, smoke trout and horseradish starter and schnitzel with a classic Bavarian potato salad, all some of the best I've had. Can't fault it - and such a cozy, traditional ambience,... More

This family owned restaurant has been in business since 1892, only recently going thru a renovation but keeping its classic look and feel. The wine menu is amazing and the food superb! Wonderful ambience, outstanding service. You'll want to make reservations as it is on the smaller side (which helps make it so intimate).

If you want to try the bavarian cuizine, in a traditional environment (that is dark wood panneled interiorand all the rest) but you still want to avoid the overcrowded more tourist oriented noizy beer houses, then this is the place. Set in a quiet street, off the main pedestrian thoroughfare of Munich, it offers a tranquile "bavarian" interior without being... More

4 of us had different dishes, which were all amazing! Can also recommend the Cremant Rose from Kiefer. Attentive & friendly service. Thanks for a fabulous evening
