We reserved this restaurant before arriving in Garmisch for a conference dinner of 46 people. The proprietor was accommodating throughout the reservation process. We ordered from a set menu, and each person was able to pay his or her own bill depending on the number of drinks they ordered. I ordered the liver soup and the venison goulash, and both... More

A great friendly place with lovely true local cuisine. A very warm welcome from our host who spoke excellent English. Food was good and felt true to the area, fantastic pork and sausages with lovely sauces and great red cabbage. Lights were a little bright for a restaurant but at least I could read the menu clearly.

Waitress spoke English, my spätzle dish with beef and pork was delicious. It was quite warm in the restaurant, and crowded. However, service was quick for Germany and the waitress was attentive. My girls got lilies after dinner. Overall, a good meal.

This is a fantastic restaurant. So much so I ate there twice in one week. It's not the fastest service as usually only had one waitress but she was very pleasant and working hard. The dinners were fantastic and prices were excellent. I had wienerschnitze one night and pfeffer steak the next, both very tasty. Well deserving of five stars!

We have been coming to Garmisch for over 40 years and this is our favorite place in the whole city. Our first stop for dinner always. Great food and very friendly staff.

Read about this place on TripAdvisor, didn't disappoint. The food was delicious, the service was a little slow, but there was one waitress and she was VERY busy. I think she did a great job. The desserts were very good! I would recommend this place. Kid friendly as well. Just make sure you know the hours, they are closed after... More

We made it to Bräuwastl late at night, approximately at 9.30 pm, and the staff made sure we are seated and try their delicious draught beer. Definitely coming back here during our not-so-short time in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Friendly waiter, fresh salad and delish Cordon Blue! Also liked that we didn't feel out of place - even though we only speak English.

We had been traveling around Germany for almost a week before we got to eat some more of the authentic type of German food. Great schnitzel, pancake soup, red cabbage , etc. Cozy and inviting atmosphere
