Always interesting to see whether a similar experience can be enjoyed and experienced at places that you only visit every once in a while. Goldener Bock is in Ulm and our way from the Netherlands to Italy, so not a place we can visit often. This time we brought friends along and it is great that we once again enjoyed... More

As others already mentioned the outside and the name do seem a bit irritating - not that it's unpleasant or anything just doesn't quiet fit the inside: a cozy little restaurant with a charming Italian flair. Nothing too fancy but high quality food & wine. Starters are not heavy which I think is very important (I'd recommend the seasoned vegetable... More

We went there with some friends (we were about 13) for an evening meal. The service was very good, the food very tasty and the owner very friendly. I recommend eating there of you are in Ulm.

A big warm welcome awaited. All the staff made a big effort to try and speak english and convert the menu for us! The chef/owner came out from the kitchen to try and help us find a dish we fancied.we ordered a spaghetti bolognese which when it came was gorgeous! The meal was very fairly priced! We did not try the... More

My husband talked me into Italian instead of German on our 1 night in Ulm. Owner Danilo Morello didn't speak English but good food transcends any language barrier. He made us a hand picked selection of antipasti that was over the top. The wine selection was very good. We got a bottle to stay & a bottle to go. The... More

Stopped in Ulm overnight on drive to Austria from London. Owner / chef very helpful despite our limited Italian and German language skills we managed to order food which turned out to be very good. I will return here when I next pass through Ulm.

So, I'm not a huge fan of Sicilian wine, but this wine selection was well worth the visit. The staff were fully engaged with a fantastic selection of main courses. The food presentation was excellent to above average but tasted outstanding. The restaurant ambiance was appropriate but not overdone.

Went here on our way to Italy. The food, the wine, and the chef/owner; all perfect exceeded our expectations. Ask the chef to jelp you with your wine selection; he really knows what he is talking about!

On our way to Italy, stop-over in Ulm, and had the best Italian Sicilian place to eat a pasta, Tuna, Lamb, and drink wonderfull Sicilian wine. Many thanks!
