Not sure who served the previous reviewers, but we had excellent service in this restaurant (something sorely missing in many Austalian restaurants). We had the three course menu which was delicious, especially the trout, of course. Only warning: you'd better be hungry. Oh yes, I also had the best Aperol Spitz. We'll see if they can beat in Italy...

Food good. Salmon and schnitzel was good. A shame because the staff and atmosfeer is not so friendly.

Hmmmm. The place is nice. The crowd is mainly tourists. My schnitzel was perfect though. The staff is okay but not so friendly. They don't like tourists at least that is how we felt. You can find a better place in Ulm 🙏🏼

I understand that this is a popular place when all tables are reserved a Tuesday evening in February. I did not reserve any table and was given one table if I could finish within one hour (before 7.30pm). I had a starter and a main dish, and the food was really good. But I regret that I did not decline... More

The restaurant is located in the old town along the canal. In summer, the pleasant coolness of the canal and the old town creates a unique atmosphere. The food is very good and not too expensive.

Concept of restaurant was very traditional. I had lamb and it was very delicious. The waitress was a very nice lady translating and explaining everything on menu with details.

Definitely the place for a good fish in Ulm. The prices are a bit higher than in other places in the town, but the quality and service is worth it. Very nice interior, but even nicer is to sit outside at the terrace at the river Blau.

Best meal so far in Southern Germany. Started with beef broth with herbed noodles, then the main course "trout Ulmer-style". Exquisite! Nice selection of wines available, including by the glass. Interesting twist on baked apples dessert too. Total cost (for 1 person) €50 including tip, and well worth it! Dining rooms are quaint, with low ceilings and traditional ornaments. Waiting... More

The 400 year old building is charmy, like an old lady that you can tell age, but she is still looking young. The staff is kind and helpful. Food was great. In particular trout-based courses are tasty. Location: wonderful. Do not miss it

This place was recommended by by the staff at the hotel we were staying in, it took a little finding but was well worth the effort. The staff had very good English and the menu is printed in both German and English so we knew exactly what was coming. The trout was delicious with the accompanying vegetables fresh and perfectly...
