I have wanted to go there for years; it seems this spot is still a secret to many so I was happy when we were able to check this out last Sunday evening (I reserved a table by telephone). We went there by foot but you can also take the train to the U-Bahn stop "Österreichischer Platz" and then it... More

Typical restaurant with local food, wide wine list and good beers. Excellent atmosphere and delicious svevian dishes, absolutely recommended!

Very authentic swabian restaurant like it should be (I am swabian). Looks like a living room, very narrow. Good food.

This is not a touristy place and the better for it. We went for Sunday lunch with some German friends, who described the experience as 'Gutburgerlich', which in my language seems to mean good, modestly priced, tasty, homely food. If you want to feel you are really in Germany eat here. It feels like a cosy home. The Pils is... More

If you are looking for stylish furniture, ambient light and music and industrialized food that tastes the same everywhere, you are totally wrong here. This is a typical Wine Restaurant in Stuttgart simple, effective ,very friendly and "gemuetlich". What you will get is nothing less then the best Swabian food in the area at a very reasonable price while you... More

Really nice place, I've been there for the Easter; the food is typical and genuine, and thanks to the atmosphere it seems to be in an old german aunt's house

Lovely little restaurant, serving delicious German food at reasonable prices. The service was good with the waitress making a very good effort to assist us to understand the German menu without being arrogant or dismissive. Seemed to be frequented by locals, which made the atmosphere and experience more enjoyable.

still the best for typical and authentic Swabian treats like "Gemischer Braten" (assorted meats), real Spätzle and Rostbraten (Swabian steak with fried onions). And their potato salad is second to none.

Cosy little neighborhood restaurant. Expect to be seated at a small table together with other customers. In summer terrace seating. Plan for some time to find a parking... Rough, direct but friendly service - Swabian style... Feels like in the dining room of your grandmother, where the Swabian name of the restaurant is related to (paraphrased 'eat at cousin Koch'.... Had an opportunity to visit this cozy neighborhood restaurant again - just a couple of blocks from Marienplatz where we stayed at the Park Inn. We ate dinner here twice - arrived at 5:30 just as they opened both nights and they were booked solid with reservations. First night they let us in for dinner as long as we were... More
