I had excellent service. I visited Gibraltar when it was just just coming out of lockdown so was open for food and then you could have a drink. Coming from the UK it was lovely to sit in the Sun with a cool refreshing drink...The staff are so attentive they adapted the meal to make it gluten-free for me. Nothing is too much trouble. I will definitely return thanks O’ReillysMore

I have been a regular since i can remember going out. Love the place for beer, burger, quiz night and familiar faces. Used to love karaoke there as well, but sadly the manager and the host have changed that into a dance party with a...bit of karaoke here and there. This attracts mostly kids and the vibe has changed for the worse. So if you’re looking for a karaoke bar where you actually get to sing and the host starts on time, this isn’t the place for you! Good beer and sports in the front!More

"Karaoke" included more dancing to terrible music than actual singing. Disappointed sitting waiting to be called to sing - not what it used to be!

We came here with friends on a Friday night before Pub Quiz started, and were incredibly disappointed in the service. To be honest, I've been to a lot of Irish pubs around the world and they're all lacking in this department, but no place with...table service should take 45 minutes to bring you a beer. The atmosphere is fun and the food was okay, and it's clear there are people who are regulars at least for Friday nights. We ended up leaving when the bouncer came in to our table to tell us that our friend was not allowed to have her water bottle with her. When we explained that she was diabetic and had been waiting for water at the table for 20 minutes he ignored her, stating that she could either leave the water bottle behind the bar or leave immediately. He was incredibly rude and we left. If I ever go back I would make sure to tell management about their bouncer's behavior.More

This gem of a pub is located just over the river from Bismarkplatz. it seems to draw ex pats from all over, as well as locals in almost a 50/50 mix. Everyone here speaks English (many natively)----though German is also spoken. The food is really...good, especially the burgers and chicken sandwhiches. The staff are great---they are really what make O'Reilly's such a great place. There seems to be something special going on most nights: English language comedy nights, quiz nights, science nights, live music, etc. We live fairly far away so have only made it to Pub Quiz on Monday (which we go out of our way to get to whenever possible) and to English Langauge Comedy (which is a ticketed event in the backroom) which is nearly always a fun time as well. It is a fun place to relax and find some comraderie in Heidelberg---with great food and drinks as well. They take credit cards, but only if you spend at least 20€. There is no smoking inside the pub. Bathrooms are downstairs (nothing on the main level if you have a mobility impairment). Major sporting events (Champions leauge, World Cup, etc) are always being shown when in progress (maybe not on all screens or without sound if another activiy is also happening, though the bigger the event the more likely it is to the THE focus, or at least THE focus in the back room). It is best to make reservations----it can be quite crowded at times.More

Fun place to watch live sports, whether it be football, rugby, or NFL. Also a good place to grab a bite to eat, serving some true Irish/British classics.

Hallo all O'Reilly's fan and lovers, I really liked the place until the incident happened tonight. It was my birthday and I wanted to celebrate my birthday in the pub with my sister and my girlfriend. The evening was really amazing as the service was...really nice and the karaoke was well organised. It was around 2 am that the event ended. We were finishing to leave when the manager came to us asking us to leave. He asked us to leave and I said yes we are about to leave in a few minutes, as I was waiting for my girlfriend to come from the washroom. It was really wierd as it was clearly mentioned by me that I am leaving soon. The manager got into an arguement telling me " GET LOST" and he also threatened me saying that you will restricted to enter this place again. We picked up our jackets and bags and starting leaving. Meanwhile the manager started misbehaving telling me to get out. As I reached the door I observed that there were still some people in the bar who were still drinking. I asked the manager why he doesnt throw everyone out. He kept talking rude asking to get lost. It is the first time I have been mistreated so bad by someone and specially by a person from gastronomy where behaviour and respect to the guest is given importance. The manager got angry on my comment and pulled my elbow to push me. I asked him to leave me as I want to leave. So now another person comes and starts pushing me outside. He also pushed my sister away. Later the manager claims this guy to be security. Usually in pubs security have a uniform and they are not dressed in casual wear. I was insulted and kicked out of a pub where I went to celebrate my birthday. In which bar does this happen, I have studied hotel and hospitality administration and I am working in bars, restaurants and 5* hotels for past 7 years and never I have seen or experienced such treatment. I just wanted to share my experience and how the manager and the so called security guard mistreated us.More
