Friendly people, good cooking - not exceptional, but better than the rest in La Daille. Nice atmosphere.

We ate here last year but this time we were very dissapointed by the service and quality of the food. Although we had booked they couldn't find the booking and we ended up eating in an adjacent room which lacked any atmosphere

We had a wonderful evening meal for the second year in a row. The food was really well cooked and presented and although the wine list was brief we managed to find some very good wines at decent prices. Very homely atmosphere and attentive welcoming service

Very atmospheric restaurant in an old Savoyard farmhouse in La Daille, Val d'Isere. The decor and decoration are authentic; service is rapid and gracious. The food centers on traditional cheese dishes. We enjoyed the fondue with morilles, but another evening we had the tournedos with blue cheese sauce. Wine list is good. Reservations necessary I would think most evenings.

Stuck my head in this olde place and was hooked. Stuffed stoats and cow bells, lots old wood. Food very good, wines good, service good. Had 3 puddings and 2 coffees and total €176 for 2 adults 3 children most expensive meal of week but good. My tournedos steak ok but not the best of the week. Wife's quail and... More

The style of an old wooden house made for lovely surroundings, the food was excellent, and the waitress spoke very good English and was very helpful explaining the unfamiliar dishes. Starters were around 13-19 Euros, mains around 20-25, and desserts 7 Euros. For starter I had the crawfish soup, which was delicious and served in a fascinating way (probably very... More

The restaurant is not inside the Val D'isere village, so it may be slightly out of the way for some people, but the food was definitely worth a short shuttle bus ride. (And I found most of the restaurants in the village too touristy anyways). The food was amazing, and the environment was very charming. The service was also very... More

We were there on 26/01/2016 and we had ordered Classical Fondue and snails, good taste but nothing special, also the standard desserts. Is a small cosy restaurant with nice stuff. Average prices for Val d'Isere. There is a nice fireplace :)

For years we've been visiting other restaurants in Val but they have gradually all become busier and more touristy. Then we discovered the Vieille Maison. A bit of a trek if you're staying in the centre of Val - especially when it's as cold as it was this week - but if you're in or near La Daille well worth... More

This place is one of the best in town and a well kept secret. The menu is excellent and includes unusual cocktails and dishes. Try the homemade cheese soup and Genepi cocktail! The service was friendly and considering it was NYE week - very efficient. Overall a brilliant evening with a lovely meal and we would go back in a... More
