Had a snack at this place, crepes and wine, in the afternoon. Quite busy and the staff seemed a bit stressed due to that. A perfect place for a quick snack or something to drink.

Whether breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, snack...there's always something to satisfy your appetite at the Salon des Fous! Meet the ski instructors at breakfast, have a late lunch or early dinner...the kitchen is always open. The place is always buzzing, many regulars, cosy and informal. Went several times and at odd hours: the galette de sarrazin (buckwheat savoury crepes) were delicious,... More

Good everyday staples like soup, croque, tart du jour, Excellent cakes and patisserie. Breakfast very good and the coffee (in a town that does not do coffee well) is very good.

My wife & I went for crepes late morning. It was 25% busy. We sat for 15 minutes without being offered a menu. The couple next to us had orders taken and the menus taken rather than passed to us. The gentleman next to us was served lunch and again we were ignored. Waitress seemed more interested in chatting to... More

My family and I sat down for lunch. The food was good, but the waiting staff was visibly irritated with us. Maybe the restaurant was busy but that is no excuse...get more waiting staff! The wrong wine was placed on our bill. Fortunately, we were able to pick it up and change it Will not return

Great for children but not much space for buggies, very relaxed atmosphere. The outside seating is good when it is sunny!

We've been eating here for the last four years , when visiting Val d'Isere and can highly recommend the place. The service is excellent, you are never rushed at all and the staff are very pleasant. The food, mainly galettes, crepes and other delicious desserts are very reasonably priced; they also serve quality wines and spirits. There is an outside... More

I stumbled upon this bistro while wandering around in the town of Val D'Isere looking for a lunch spot. It is traditional yet modern at the same time. The bar seats are actually bicycle seats! Some ski school instructors and their pupils as well as other travelers created a busy, but friendly atmosphere. The crowd is mostly french, but the... More

After a long day travelling from London, we stopped here for a late lunch: a deliciously simple croque monsieur and a glass of Pinot Noir. It was a brilliant introduction to Val d'Isere - in addition to the lovely food, the staff were super friendly and the place was very atmospheric!
