I visited le Penjab for many years and the quality was always stable, very good taste, good portions and lots of fresh ingredients. Yesterday however, portions were hardly enough, quality was clearly reduced and the taste was not spectacular anymore. The senior chef is still very charming but it's clear that the next generation has other opinions and intentions.. Big... More

We arrived at 7.40pm (opening time is 7.30) without a reservation. There were several empty tables, but when we asked for a table for two the owner rolled his eyes out loud and threw his hands in the air. But he seated us at one of the empty tables. We watched the same performance with the same result for the... More

Terrible and incompetent service...long wait (over an hour to be served even though arrived for late shift). Butter naan was disgusting... portions tiny with bad quality meat. Whatever they had going for them they have lost. Their good chef most likely left among other reasons. Stay away. There are better options in Vieux Lyon that will not leave you with... More

The owner was very friendly and speaks very good English. Being in a more touristy part of Lyon we thought it might be less traditional and authentic but we were surprised some good food. The food is definitely more of a North Indian/Punjabi style which was a nice change from other indian restaurants in the area. (Although they have adapted... More

Having found this place , at first I was a little disappointed in the time we had wait, (about 30 minutes before we had place our order...eventually we ordered, I decided to order the Vindaloo, I expected a very hot curry, unfortunately it was so mild, I gave it to a small boy of 6 and he had no response...I... Loved the meal. Really really tasty. You will enjoy it. However, if you like your food really spicy, as I do, assume they will not deliver. I asked for super super super spicy, I really insisted, and they, as they usually do in restaurants, assumed that super super super meant kinda spicy. I've had salt and vinegar chips that were... It is a very popular place and I'm glad we made reservations as they kept turning people away because the restaurant was completely full. It took a while to get our order but the food was worth the wait.

We walked by this restaurant one night and it was super full so we decided to go back the day after. We didn't know we needed to make reservations, but they found us a place anyways. Minutes later the restaurant was full. Even still the staff makes you feel special and treats you attentively, you don't feel rushed to eat... More

Very good place, one of the best if not the best indian-pakistani restaurant in Lyon. Sauces, spices, excellent meat - of good quality and well presented.
