This is very traditional restaurant with distinctive Lyonnaise cuisine, i.e. sweetbreads (plus other more conventional dishes). If you want to see a good, well-run, efficient French restaurant, come here. I'm not sure how one waiter managed it. I plan on going back.

Just outside of the Halles de Lyon, this is perfect if you want plenty to eat but without the prices of the Halles. Good old-fashioned, hearty food that keeps you going all day. I had the local sausage in a red wine sauce, delicious. My husband had a fish souffle, also very good. The set menu was worth every penny... More

Just spent a week eating our way through Lyon's Bouchon's. Each had its own "good dish" to offer but one stood out as consistently excellent in every dish we tried. Additionally, the service was warm and friendly whereas some either rushed you to order or ignored you. Of them all, the Le Val d'Isere was, hands down, our overall favorite... More

The fish and the meat were OK, but the vegetables were overcooked and with not much flavour, giving the impression of canteen cooking. Dinner for around €38 for three courses or choose the menu Lyonais for €26. Quick service. Gets busy at peak times; around 8pm.

Chanced upon this place near the Halles de Lyon which was closed at night. Nice interior, tried the entrecôte steak which was good. They serve typical Lyonnaise food which consists of many dishes related to pigs (like pigs head). One staff speaks english which was helpful. Was also recommended by a staff at the Lyon food hall when we were... More

The interiors are not bad, but that's about it. The numerous Bocuse d'Or certificates hanging on the walls clearly weren't won by the chefs of this place. The food and the service are very average. Don't take supreme de volaille, or you'll risk losing your teeth on it.

Lyonnaise typical cuisine. On the menu you can find either fish or meat, I had the salmon with white rice and it came with some vegetables "au gratin" aside, it was very well cooked, tasty and nicely presented. Desserts were excellent. Reasonably priced. Popular among the locals.

Needed to get a hearty lunch before we set off back to England on the Eurostar and whilst sat drinking a coffee and sheltering from the rain, went on TripAdvisor and did a search "near me now" and found this place with already several good reviews. So we searched it out and what a find it was. Very friendly welcome... More

Warm and friendly atmosphere, great food, reasonable prices. Not in a tourist area so was filled with locals. A good menu of local specialties. Definitely recommended.

Traditional Lyon food at a fair price, I've sampled "Menu Lyonnais" @25€ which was very good value, three courses, and displayed some of my favourite choices. Nice atmosphere on top, I'll keep this place on my "Lyon list" for future trips. Conveniently located Nearest Part-Dieu train station (20' Walk) and just across the street you have "Les Halles de Lyon"... More
