My husband visited this restaurant many times before and was really excited to go back there. Once you have climbed over the dog in the doorway, you will find the restaurant to have a very jolly atmosphere. Most other visitors were British. I ordered a lasagne, quite honestly the worst lasagne I have ever had. Hardly any meat or sauce,... More

It's sad that Le Caveau has become a restaurant to avoid. The place is unique and very romantic. The food is just not good with very poor ingredients with very high prices. Same goes for their pizzas that are no longer good and often burned.

Booked well in advance for 9. Placed in the very bright back room, with a door to a storeroom that kept being opened and closed right on one of our seats. Pizzas were burnt, 7 out of 9 of them. Been here many times, perhaps a better place for smaller group. ?

We enjoyed our recent visit but the food was let down by the service. We ordered one starter, nachos to share on our table. A few minutes later the nachos came and were delivered to the table next to us. They had also orders these so they tucked in whist we waited and waited. Just as we were about to... More

While there is no view, it's nice to eat somewhere that is different from everywhere else. Le caveau is definitely that. The service was great - friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. We ordered the nachos to share and the tomato salsa was homemade and tasted fantastic. But it was the lasagne that was the best dish of the... More

Great restaurant with an amazing underground celler environment. The pizza is delicious and staff are lovely.

Loved this very atmospheric restaurant in the heart of Chamonix. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was delish....steak au poivre and chips was just right. A lovely buzzy atmosphere and a mixture of young and old. The underground location is fabulous. Not too pricey....good value for money. Definitely returning!!

Le Caveau has been run by the same staff for several years and they make great pizzas in a proper wood fired oven. They also do a very good Creme Brûlée. I've eaten in Le Caveau many times and have enjoyed the meal every time. The owner also has a lovely dog that lays near the bar adding to the... More
