We came here for a meal away from the hotel we were staying in. It is one of three bars on the road which are side by side. The staff were very helpful although they need a place to store your coats as when we went it was snowing heavily outside. For 7:30 pm, there was plenty of room. I... More

L'Atelier cafe is so centrally located by the river that flows through the centre of Chamonix that you are bound to pop in several times during your stay in the French Alps. And why not: the terrace enjoys sun from midday to almost five o'clock, the staff is friendly to non-French speakers and most of the quick bites on their... More

To be avoided by all means. One of the rudest service I have ever experienced. The food is barely decent. There are better places very close by.

Dropped in for breakfast. Nicely decorated and cosy cafe with a real Alpine feel. Local pancakes were not my preference but coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice made up for this. Could have stayed here all day.

My wife and I visited L'Atelier for breakfast during July 2016. We enjoyed our breakfast, nutella crepes, eggs, bagel sandwich, and yogurt, etc. We loved the outside seating which was right downtown in the center of the city near the canal. Very much felt like what we expected from a French cafe. The wait staff was helpful. In fact we... More

We stopped here for lunch after arriving from Chamonix after a recommendation from the front desk at the Mont Blanc Hotel. We were not disappointed. We ordered salads and were delighted with the quick service, well, prepared, fresh and interesting combinations, and the sunshine and great view. A lovely spot to have a nice meal, in the center of town,... More

Nice place for a drink and small food, great place. Nice stuff. Resonable prices this is the place i always return to in Chamonix, give it a chanse. It´s great located in the citycenter. Good wine and please try a plate with local cold meat and cheese.
