I love the Socca. It is a great place to get some "real" Nicoise food. I highly recommend trying the pissaladiere as well.

A really nice place, very friendly and a good atmosphere. We basically had everything on the menu and it was all tasty (tapenade, socca, pissaladière, pan bagnat).

You want to eat a typical dish go to "Chez Pipo" the best socca at a very affordable price double socca at 5,90 with a glas of red wine at 3,50. It is always full. Good quality and cheap and good service. The oven is more than 300 years old. A very typical local place.

We ate at Chez Pipo twice during our one week stay, and it is excellent for a light supper or a pre dinner snack. Their house salad is good. Fresh interesting greens, and a nice portion of them. The socca is hot and well made and a salad and the double portion made a nice light dinner with a glass... More

We dined outside at the end of October at this Nice Port based great example of simple Nice cooking. Socca along with pisaladiere are the staples. Not fine dining but good local restaurant.

We visited the branch in the Old Port area (there is another branch in the Nice Airport), tried the socca (chickpea flatbread), pissaladière (sort of thick-dough pizza, but without tomato sauce or cheese, with thick layer of caramelized onion), and the tourte de blettes (swiss chard-based tart) - all Nice region specialties. There are little to options - they just... More

Great socca, nice atmosphere, informal. The menu offers starters (toast & tapenade), green salad and socca. And a small choice of sweets.

Socca at Pippo's is a must. Along with the view from Castle Hill (Parc du Chateau) and an Ice cream at Finocchios, socca with a glass of rosé is part of life in Nice.

Chez Pipo is the best place for snacking on the niçoise specialty "socca" - a kind of salty crepe made with chickpea flour, water and olive oil. To all the vegans out there: socca is vegan! Season with black pepper for optimal taste. And, at 3 euros a portion (for 1 person), it's actually good price. They really make their... More

Great soca (chickpeas cream, crunchly cooked in wooden oven - in Italy known as farinata)! It's really deletions and needs to be tried if you have never had it. Very typical from the Mediterranean, which I personally love!! The waiting list is long but it's worth the soca!
