Covid has restricted their usually extensive menu, so over four days we had the pleasure of sampling all of their offerings. Every item, from the fish carpaccio studded with summer truffles to the outstanding risotto primavera were great. We dined on perfectly grilled fish, juicy...beef and lamb sweetbreads. But the highlight were the desserts. Bravo to their pastry chef. They served the best cassis soufflé ever. Complments to all the chefs. We loved it!More

We spent several thousands of Euros over the last couple of years in this restaurant. That day, during a very windy evening we were seated under a chestnut tree. Due to the strong wind, a chestnut fell in to the soup of my wife, ruining...both my shirt and her silk blouse. The waiter told us simply: you are unlucky, he removed our plates (My wife was still not finished, and they did not replace them with new), and gave some hot water and tissue. No apologies at all, no proposal for compensation or paying the dry cleaning. When the bill came, they charged the full amount for everything despite not having had the full course. They clearly saw we were not satisfied, but didn’t ask how it was. When we left, just a dry ‘good evening’ in French (we perfectly speak the language), not even goodbye. A truly disappointment that they do not take their responsibility!!! Eventually, they lied on an earlier post, so it is clear they will never see us again. I strongly advise everybody to stay away from this kind of establishments that do not value their customers and lie on public posts.More

Looking for a nice garden for dinner, living in Aix by ourselves, we went to this place to commemorate an anniversary. A great garden by the way, with fine menu options, and delicious food. Nothing to complaint except maybe some exaggerated prices (x4) in the...wine list (albeit excellent), that lead to reduce drinks budget, when it would have been a pleasure.More

We had a great dinner at the restaurant. Everything was perfectly prepared, fresh and delicious. My wife has a dairy allergy and the chef made accommodations where necessary. Aside from the beautiful ambience of the restaurant and the outstanding dishes, we also really enjoyed our...waiter, who was a young man training at the restaurant with a wonderful personality and charisma that made the evening even better. One of our favorite meals during our week in France.More

I am so sad to report that this was the worst restaurant experience I can ever remember. The beef was inedible, which was replaced with monk fish which (for me) was inedible as well. We were not greeted when we arrived and finally decided to...just seated ourselves. No one introduced themselves to us so it felt very weird. This is the first time I have ever posted a "terrible" review. Through my work I travel for approximately 60 - 90 days every year an travel for leisure approx 30 days a year and eat out for lunch and dinner every day and I can say I have never had a meal so bad. I do have to wonder if it was because we were in a group of 10 and groups are treated differently. Maybe if we had come in a 2 or 4 things would have been completely different. My husband and I stayed at this hotel 8 years ago and it was our favourite hotel and we always felt we would come back here for an extended period when we had more time but sadly I will never be back.More

Be sure to reserve outside if the weather permits -- lovely view of an exquisite garden from your table. 1. Amuse bouche - great veggies, some pickled others not 2. First course - thinly sliced sea bass with white truffles, outstanding and unique flavors 3....Second - lamb 4. Fromage as expected 5. Dessert from other tasting menu was accommodated A degustation menu normally has two offerings - and the amicable staff was willing to trade out one from that one, another from this one. Highly enjoyable.More

Both quaint and luxurious - a true oasis in Aix. The terrace bar and restaurant area is magical - very lovely any time of day. The menu has many choices and all are delicious. The new building has rooms with modern decor and beautiful finishes...with a separate pool- more private from the main building. Within walking distance to the center of Aix en Provence.More
