We wanted to experience dinner at the oldest restaurant in France and taste the food that inspired Julia Child to pursue French cooking. The food was superb as was the service. I certainly recommend La Couronne.

it is an old tavern (the oldest in france) with specialties from Rouen (duck, fish). the service is perfect and yo could be sure to feel well getting out this place !
La Couronne is situated in a lovely old building in the heart of Rouen. It is elegant and cosy, The food is great, the vines fine. We enjoyed our dinner and vine.

We wondered open this restaurant while staying at Rouen. The place is decorated with pictures of celebrities who have been eating there for hundreds of years. Yet the food is excellent the service friendly and the prices are quite reasonable. Highly recommended
