A spacious dining area on different levels and with little quiet corners tucked in corners. Comfortable even when busy on tthe Friday evening of our visit. Staff were friendly and helpful. My duck course was a little dry but most of the dishes we had were tasty and plentiful in quantity. It's the kind of place which big eaters and... More

Having arrived mid afternoon via Brittany Ferries, most restaurants were only open for deserts and cakes when we were in need of savoury substenance. This restaurant was recommended by another and to our relief they did three-course lunches all day. Like an old Bohemian pub lined with barrels and a huge oak press, it was full of hygge. The dishes... More

Found this restaurant tucked away from the main tourist area whilst visiting the Christmas market in this lovely city. Comprehensive menu at a reasonable price. Great waiters most of whom spoke better English than my French! Returned the next night for a repeat of a memorable dinner.

A great menu of regional dishes, with reasonably priced fixed three course meals and wine selections. Its located in the center of the historic neighborhood. Wonderful service!

We stopped here having visited the Aitre Saint-Maclou which is nearby. The restaurant was thronged with tourists and locals which gave it a lively buzz - service was still good. We all ordered flamm-keuche - alsatian pizzas- which we had never had before and were delicious and huge - only one of us ate it all! Beer also good. An... More

Having arrived Rouen late in the afternoon and finding our hotel did not have a restaurant, we ventured out and found La Walsheim. Luckily, we were able to be seated quickly and after a short delay ordered. The restaurant was busy but we the house wine was good while we waited to be served. All entrees and salads were delicious... More

We enjoyed our meals here. I had the entrecôte with frites, and escargot. Very good. My wife had a salad and said it was delicious. Good beer and wine.

Have eaten there before years ago and thought we'd try again. It was awful. The fries were overcooked and tasted like they were reheated, the salad was a few leaves of lettuce drenched in olive oil only and the croque monsieur was soggy... and no water offered when we arrived.

Try the Cava from this region. Very tasty. Beautiful area as well. Next to a church. Buildings next door are also very nice looking, typical of Normandy per our server. Terrific service!

Food is presented well, with lots of it. Staff really friendly but rushed off there feet and the service did suffer due to this fact. The food was lovely but been veggie the only option was salad. This is one of the few resturances that offered even a salad for veggies a lot of places did nothing. Once we got... More
