We made reservations before leaving states and glad we did or we might have missed a jewel of a restaurant. There was absolutely no part of the meal that was not superb. That same meal in NYC or Chicago would have easily cost 2-3 times what we paid there. Service was great with no rush to get you out Would... More

Fabulous meal and a great wine list, booked prior to leaving England as it is clearly a busy and popular place both with internet tourists and also locals, a number of whom were enjoying dinner when we dined. We pre-warned them that we were bringing a Veggie! All orders are taken by the owner and after being a little nervous... More

The meal was outstanding and a terrific value for the quality of the food and service. Your expectations need not be lowered because of it not being in a big city. This restaurant would be outstanding if it were in Paris. But maybe an additional bonus is that the quality of a small-town feel permeates the place. Linda, the owner... More

This is a 5 Star restaurant in a very small town do not walk by. Reservations are must. The atmosphere was warm & inviting, service could not have been more attentive but they gave you room to enjoy the ambiance.

Booked online before I left. Was called by Linda to confirm booking during the day which was a nice touch. Very friendly staff on arrival but not harassing like I've had in other restaurants. The food is fantastic for what you pay. Very reasonable prices for what is not far off Michelin star food. All seven of my family were... More

What can you say about a charming restaurant in a 600 year old building. The chicken dish was tender and flavorful, the Tiramisu was superb and I'm not a Tiramisu person.

We had a good meal at La Rapiere. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was what you expect from one of the more expensive establishments in Bayeux. My wife had the pollack and I had the guinea fowl, both were competently done. Desserts were also good - lemon tart and calvados sorbet. It was my wife's favourite meal in Bayeux,... More

The food was excellent, served in a perfect order and well worth the visit, however I may return. I had made a reservation for 1915 and arrived a few minutes early, my last name is difficult to spell but not pronounce however they had two similar names both for 1915. We were seated served an appetitive when at 1925 the... More
