A good restaurant to go with at will "fois gras" !!! Awesome!! And a so good "cassoulet" plate. The desert was not a success...

Might be easier to find if you look for AU Gascon- which is it´s name. We had a fantastic meal of duck and beef -beautifully cooked and presented- very friendly staff.

This restaurant is conveniently close to the Jacobins. Its interior is attractive, and the food is very good. We both had the chèvre salad and the duck confit: very nicely prepared. Desserts were also good, though my raspberry sorbet had iced. The service was attentive and competent. I would go here again.

The food is good, nothing spectacular but tasty, and the price is correct for what you get. Nevertheless, the very weak point was that there was only ONE waitress for 25 customers. We spent 3 hours there!!!

Just arrived in Toulouse after a long days drive. Wanted something local, and there it was in a side street to a side street. Not a tourist in sight, but plenty of locals, and they looked as if they came often. Typical Gascon food, Duck, white beens, Fois Gras. Nothing fancy but extremely good value for money, and could not... More

I like to be positive. This time it's really difficult. The space is quite nice and it wasn't very hard for a solo female diner to get a table here although lots of other places were full. How's that for positive? I opted for French staples the Salad with goats cheese. Passable although the lardons were inedible. Then the Civet... More

It is not all that easy to find this restaurant, follow the directions for the Convent des Jacobins, then it is just in the back. The place has a friendly atmosphere and is ideal after a long tourist walking day. They serve typical French dishes: try the Escargots or the Canard comfit, which is a kind of sweet icing, very... We were only in Toulouse for 48 hours and wanted to eat at least one meal with a local cuisine. We read that Fois Gras and Cassoulet were recommended local dishes and when we arrived at Au Gascon that was exactly what the special menu was. The food was good and the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. Service was friendly and... More

My husband and I have just finished lunch in this fabulous restaurant. We chose it because it was away from the touristy hustle and bustle of the centre of Toulouse. We enjoyed a fantastic lunch of local fare, choosing options which were prepared "in house". Both the duck and cuttlefish main courses were tasty and fresh. The croustade dessert was... More

I had the cassoulet. It was dry and tasteless. Horrible food. Even the coffee was disgusting! And it wasn't cheap given the lousy cuisine.
