The restaurant offered us a really nice menu of they day. I really liked that they change it every day and that you get to try something new. Not only was it all vegetarian but a lot of regional products as well. The service was...really nice too even though the waiter was all by himself and therefore a bit overcharged facing the number of guests. I found the soundscape a bit problematic as the restaurant was full and the guests are all sitting next to each other on two big tables. Nevertheless I really enjoyed going there, mostly for the food made with love. Besides, 15€ for a whole menu including an appetizer, the main dish and a dessert this nice are really worth it. Would definitely go there again to see what other dishes they create.More

We found Le Caboulot on the internet. On arrival in Nimes we went directly to locate the resto and to check if they would accept our dogs. It was closed but by serendipity we met a young man heading there with arms laden with fresh...bread, cheese and vegetables. We asked and he confirmed that he was from the resto. He told us we along with our dogs would be welcome and so we booked. We started with egg cocotte in a rich cheese and scallion sauce. Main was bulgar wheat in a gorgozola sauce with a mixed salad. Both dishes were estupendo. The dessert of apple puree with a biscuit crumble was okay. The local wine and artizanal beer that accompanied were delicious. The atmosphere in the resto was calm and friendly. The service was charming . What was not to like? If I lived in Nimes, I would for sure be a weekly regular at Le Caboulot de la Sérendipité. We recommend this delightful eatery unreservedly.More

The good thing about this place is that your only choice is two courses or three. I recommend having all three - a la carte, but in the best possible way. Chilli sin carne was one of the best things I've eaten for a while....Charming and multi-lingual front of house with solid backup from the kitchen and exceptionally good value for money. Go and then go again (we would have but had to fly back the next morning).More

We were so impressed on our first visit that we had to come back the following evening. There is just one menu, which changes daily, so we had no idea what to expect. The main course on the first evening was sticky rice with vegetables...of varying textures and the most delicious marinade. On our next visit we had a lentil dish which my partner said was the best thing he'd ever tasted, vegetarian or otherwise. We were sorry to be leaving Nimes the following day or I'm sure we would have gone back a third time. The restaurant has a calm, relaxing atmosphere where you can take your time to savour the wonderful flavours. This should be listed as the #1 restaurant in Nimes!More

We were directed here in search of elusive vegetarian options for lunch and were absolutely delighted with it. As a carnivore Mr J enjoyed it just as much as I did, very tasty lentil starter and superb risotto main. Comfortable, homely and great background music,...at the appropriate volume. Hope we have time on this visit to go back for moreMore

Tried out this small Restaurant and was very pleased with the meal. We turned up without a reservation and the owner made space for us without any fuss. The Menu consists of 3 courses of the day so no puzzling over what to choose! Friendly...atmosphere of mixed nationalities. Multilingual owner was attentive and efficient. 1st course of grilled goats cheese and onion on sourdough bread with mixed salad. 2nd course of wok fried noodles with mixed vegetables and final course of Kiwi and soya panacotta. 15 Euros fixed price for the 3 courses. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and content of the food and we will be going again later in the week.More

I went to this place twice during my stay in Nimes. Julian is super likable and attentive and he created a great atmosphere in his place. There are two rows of tables, so even if you go there on your own, you feel never seperated....The food is great and I like the idea of only one starter, one main dish and one dessert a lot!! Having dinner here is always a good idea!More
