My husband and I went for lunch and it was a great experience. We will diffidently go back. The owner greeted us with a big smile and sat us in the front dining area. He explained the plat de jour and that is what we...ordered. We also ordered a glass of the red wine he recommended. A small antipasto with bruschetta, all authentic Italian ingredients. The main dish was a bolognaise over pasta or polenta, dessert panna cotta and to finish some of the finest Italian coffee. While we were there his wife and boys came in and he introduced us. This little place had it all, a great owner who was working his restaurant, friendly staff, and the best authentic Italian food.More

After reading good reviews from French diners, and given it was just around the corner from our rooms, we gave this place a go for dinner. We knew we would have a good night from the warm welcome we received on entry. Besides the lovely...atmosphere and excellent service, the food was also very good-it's a fairly standard Italian menu, but there's nothing wrong with that-everything was well done and very tasty. Highly recommended if you want Italian in the old town of Nimes.More

Popped in for some lunch today on our day trip to Nîmes and were warmly greeted by who I assume was the owner. He took us through to the back room for a table as initially it looked full through the window. Despite our limited...grasp of French, he was very accommodating and friendly and explained the menu to us slowly so we could understand easier. We both had a weekend set menu for €19 which included a delicious starter of a tomato and mozzarella salad followed by a pasta main with a choice of sauces. I had a pannacotta for dessert and my partner had a lemon mousse which were both very tasty. Would definitely recommend popping in for a meal if you are in the area.More

We went for dinner with our son (7). From stepping inside this was an excellent experience. The owner remembered us from when we were in his other restaurant last September and we were warmly welcomed. The food is delicious, simple but the quality is superb....Tehy also have a childs menu (pasta bolognaise): my son cleaned his plate. The wine here is also excellent, and we followed the owners recommendation. The price is very correct. Definitely recommend.More

After a bad day travelling to Nimes, we came across this restaurant and it was surprisingly a great find! The food both of us had was incredible, especially the pasta which tasted very fresh and the cheese board which had an amazing selection of cheeses...on! The waitress we had, Sabrina, was a great hostess for the night, very friendly and had great recommendations. It had a nice atmosphere and was great value for money! Definitely give it a try if you are in Nimes!More

Enoteca has only been going 6 months or so which may explain the lack of reviews on TripAdvisor but don't let that put you off dining here. We'd been staying close by for the week and hadn't realised at first that this restaurant is also...linked to a great little deli about 10 doors down on the same rue. So you have two great places to discover! We stopped in there for a glass of wine first in the last of the days sun before heading to the restaurant for dinner. The owner is a lovely, attentive guy who is clearly very passionate about his Italian produce; food and wine! Over dinner we were well looked after and shared delicious burrata as starter, followed by two authentic Italian pasta dishes for main course. The beef in mine was rich and tender, obviously having been cooked for hours. Dessert were small coffees with a delicious citrus mouse on the side and plenty of biscotti biscuits to dip. Drinks wise we'd enjoyed a glass of white at the deli but moved onto passionfruit spritz for aperitifs followed by a delicious Nero d'Avola to match our mains. This red was fantastically smooth and fruity, with no hint of tannins in the after taste. I was surprised that the place wasn't packed out on a Friday night but there is a festival in town for a couple of days so that could be keeping people busy, but this place will surely gain in popularity and in the rankings in Nimes very soon. Recommend this Italian restaurant which suits this French city drenched in Roman history!More

We had a great Italian lunch in this tiny Italian deli/bistro in one of the prettiest streets in Nimes. One chef, one waitress and one barman but they handled a busy lunch crowd very well. One of the best risottos I've had and not overpriced.
